Bethlehem Olive wood is a very special type of wood coming to us from the Holy Land.  The indigenous Olive tree is one of the slowest growing trees in the world, resulting in an exceptionally dense wood, with a beautiful, highly differentiated grain.  These trees are protected as they supply Olives and Olive Oil so many of these trees are hundreds of years old.  Some have been here since the Christ walked the earth.  Once a year, usually October, the trees are pruned and it’s these prunings that are made available to artisans and craftsmen around the world.  No trees were harmed or destroyed to produce this pen.
